If you are experiencing problems sending email you need to update your settings for Authentication for outbound email.
To update your settings in Thunderbird to accomplish this.
Click the three lines on the right side to open the Menu and select “Account Settings”,
Select Outgoing Server (SMTP) and “edit” your smtp server
In this screen you need to be setup as follows.
