Doug Palin, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Palin started a dial-up bulletin board as a hobby in 1987. In the ensuing years, he built a successful computer hardware and networking business. In the early 1990's he also developed a small ISP he named Pacifier Online. This company initially provided Internet access to local computer enthusiasts.
With the emergence of the Web in the early 1990s, Pacifier Online enjoyed substantial growth. By 1996, Pacifier was offering service in four cities and was continuing to expand its' service areas. In 1998, Pacifier expanded to the Seattle, Olympia and Tacoma metropolitan areas as well as several rural markets in Oregon and Washington.
Mr. Palin sold Pacifier to a St. Louis based cable company called Millennium Digital Media (MDM) in January 2000. Following the sale, he remained with MDM as the Vice President of Operations for Oregon and Southwest Washington. Working for MDM, Mr. Palin was responsible for the acquisition and integration of a number of regional ISP's under the name of USNet.
In early 2002, Mr. Palin approached MDM with a proposal to acquire the western regional resources of USNet. In May of 2002 a deal was struck. Mr. Palin and a group of investors acquired the western portions of USNet, which included the assets of what was Pacifier Online as well as 13 other ISPs. He put these ISPs together into one common network infrastructure and created Infinity Internet.
Mark Meyers, Vice President of Sales
Hired in July 2004, Mr. Meyers is responsible for top line sales and leading market expansion within Infinity's current footprint. Prior to joining Infinity, Mr. Meyers was Director of Sales for Qwest for the OR and Eastern WA Region, where he led a team of 34 associates and 4 managers in an area generating annualized revenues of $60MM. Mr. Meyers has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and has held senior positions at XO Communications, Electric Lightwave and MCI.
Todd Grant, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Grant joined Infinity in January 2004 and currently handles all financial affairs of the Company. Prior to Infinity, Mr. Grant was the Controller of Vista Broadband, a wireless Internet service provider in Northern California, where he helped direct the strategic vision of the company thus resulting in EBITDA positive within one year. Mr. Grant has over 12 years experience in the telecom industry and has held various senior management positions for GST Telecom and Advanced TelCom Group.
